Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) is a markup language used to create web pages. The responsibility of modifying and standardizing HTML and other related technologies lies with  World Wide Web Consortium(W3C).

HTML5 is the 5th and latest standardization from the previous version (HTML4), with HTML5 many new changes have been made to existing elements as well as addition of many new elements. These new elements help improve readability and add more structure to a web page.

About this tutorial

This tutorial has been designed for beginners, If you have no experience in web development this is the right place to start. Not only will this tutorial cover the newly added HTML 5 elements but also all the previous elements that are not outdated. The tutorial has examples after each topic. At the end of the tutorial there is a step by step guide to create a working website from scratch.

After completing this tutorial you will have

  • Thorough knowledge of HTML
  • A brief knowledge of how internet works and what are domain names.
  • How to Host a website on Google for Free.
  • How to Host your website on paid Hosting sites for better performance.

NOTE Even though you can create a website by using HTML only, you need to use Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) to style the elements, or in simple words to align or change behavior of elements.

You don’t need to have any technical knowledge. This tutorial will start from scratch.
